What a thrilling match by both players. I got home early from work to see it hehe It was sooo entertaining and nerve racking at the same time. To be honest i thought Rafa would have been a little tired from the 3sets by Novak and especially when he had the trainer on massaging that, oh soo s**y thigh, Roger was going to have the upper hand and win. But in true Nadal style he fought hard and played some wonderful tennis and also Roger (credit to him) he played good tennis aswell. Anyway back to the question what do you think of Rogers chances at the French maybe not chances to make the final but his confidence level will he brush this loss off and bounce back, i mean thats twice Nadal has brought things back and snatched the set from Federer lolol Roland Garros is 5 sets so it`ll be even more tough lol 0o0o Im on such a high just now !!!

x Vamos Rafa x !!!!

  1. Hamburg was Fedex's best chance to beat Rafa becos the clay here is much faster than Roland Garos. They are making it a bit more faster this year, but still it is slower than Hamburg. Slowed the clay, better for Rafa as he gets more time to retrieve  everythin .

  2. Nope, Federer is Federer.

U kno Mona, Roger doesn't hate Rafa, but apperently a Fed fan does. Rog wouldn't care for u.

  3. Hope so! but i noticed Rafa was showing no emotion today, he seemed different to yesterdays match. Maybe hes just tired, but now he has a week off to rest and win the French!!

I think Hamburg is difference because its played indoor, i think Rafa said in a interview that when he hits a topspin forehand the ball doesnt go up as high.

  4. no i don't think so Roger is so great player

i think if he could lose some confidence he would losr it after losing from  Fish.Murray,Stepank

but i don,t think so cause we saw him at todays final, and at monte carlo final

hoping he will win french open

  5. i think federer will lose his confidence regardless what he says postmatch.  at the french open, the court is slower and nadal 's topspin ball will bounce higher which gives nadal the advantage.  i hope nadal will win the french. congrats to both players today because it was a great, great match.

  6. Considering how monumental a task it is to play Nadal on clay, I think any confidence his opponent has will always be low. So Federer couldn't have lost that much. Besides it was a competitive match, and Federer should have closed out that first set. He keeps choking against Nadal on clay.

In hte past the French Open clay would bounce higher, which was to Nadal's advantage. But I heard that they are speeding up Roland Garros this year (not sure). That might give Federer a bit of a chance. But it's still clay.

  7. Mmm  I dunno he won Hamburg last year but it didn't make a diff in the end. Hes gotten very close to Rafa both times they have played, hes gotta take some positives from that. And now he has a coach who can help work on his mentality, thats all it is really, mentality. I don't think his confidence will be as high as if he had won, but its not like he got wiped off the court, hes gonna be liking his chances.

  8. No won't change his confidence. In fact, it will only help him all the more. Roger played some amazing tennis, fantastic footwork, but after Nadal was "injured" at 5-1, Federer pulled back on the agressive strategy and lost.

Roland Garos clay plays slower and heavier. It has a thicker feeling to it, so if you're cardio and leg muscles can't live up to it, you're going to be outta there fast.  Notice how they're totally covered in clay by the end of the first set.  I got to play RG and it is very tough.

  9. no Federer is the best and he knows he's the best. He knows anyone can be beaten on any day of the week and that he's not unbeateble but he's still the best

  10. Here we go again. Its been what, 3 years now going on 4? and every year people ask themselves and others the same questions? That, can Federer finally win the only slam that has eluded him OR will Rafa do it all over again? Well, after Monte-Carlo Federer answered these questions quite nicely when he said, 'anything is possible with Rafa'..

The truth is u can never write off Federer even on clay but his chances at RG are a bit slim..he maybe just as well end up settling for 2nd best.
