Absolutely.  She is living there. She should know this is not acceptable and that they are big on modesty, and quite conservative. If she wants to have s*x in public go to Amsterdam or Hedinizm is Jamaica, it's accepted there.  

It's not accepted in Muslim countries, and their punishments are harsh to deter this type of behaviour.  If an Arab came to the UK and broke the law, we would expect that he be punished.  Sometimes life is a bi*ch.

Yes, she deserves it.  Many British people expect visitors to this country to abide by our rules when they are here but when they visit other countries they expect to carry on as they wish with no repercussions.

Six years would seem a bit extreme, but the rules of the country were known to her. Personally, I don't know why people would go to a country with such strict laws - especially those that are so oppressive to women. These "holidaymakers" are supporting that lifestyle. Perhaps she will get a good lawyer and obtain a lighter sentence.

Anybody gets caught drunk and disorderly  in a "compromising" position on Blackpool beach and then lamps a policemen should expect to end up in court and possibly jail.

YES she does... i am sorry i understand in the west it is not a big deal.. however, she is in THEIR country....

i don't think it is a stretch for anyone to understand that in a Muslim country having s*x in public is probably NOT a good idea...

before you argue and say that this shouldn't be a crime and that she should be let off... remember in some countries a man who catches his wife in an affair has a LEGAL right to kill her.... would you have as much sympathy for him... or do you only insist that OTHER countries live by our laws??

i would be VERY sympathetic had the law she broke not been so very clearly illegal (I don't' believe it is legal to have s*x in public in England either.. it just isn't' as big a crime).. when you go to a foreign country you should always be aware that you are NOT at home.. and stick within the law as much as possible...

I am sorry i just have no sympathy for people that go to another country and break the law.

However, she is subject to the laws of the land and it is her responsibility to abide them.

If she fails to adhere to the laws, she deserves a just punishment.

she been living in dubai past 3 years and should very well known the country's law. especially being sharia law as its very strict.

its not spain or uk where you can get away with these sort of things. acting drunk in public. I know its illegal in uk to do s*x in public place

she also been given a warning. WTF she is 30 something and did she not understand what she did is wrong and to do it again and abuse a muslim police in his country thats just full on.

i wouldnt really mess with muslim country's law as they are very strict. which is why the crime rate is really less in their country

british are known to be the worst holiday tourists... this is another example that shows why we british are worst tourist in different countries
