Do you think this would be a tacky thing to do?

My kids, husband and I came up with an idea. Since I recently gave birth to twins and we're having a family reunion in a few weeks, we could all wear the shirts we got that represent our family of twins. Would that be tacky and too show offy? What do you think?

Here is what they look like:

For our two sons:

For our two older girls:

For our younger daughter:

For my husband:

For myself:

I can't find it on the website, but it says "Mom of twins: It was a buy one get one free sale" with two baby girls in a shopping cart.

Plus my twins will be wearing t-shirts showing that they're twins.

So do you think that's too show offy/tacky?

Thanks in advance!

  1. Its your new babies and I think that their is nothing wrong with showing off how proud you are and its great to get the older children shirts to. My family and I do crazy things and we never care if they are tacky. Its our family and what we think really is all that matters. Some people worry a little to much. i think that you and your family will look adorable. If anything was every said later on. What could it be other than." They were so proud they bought shirts' how cute is that

  2. I actually thinks thats cute!

I especially love the dads one :)

  3. NO! I dont Its such a cute Idea ... why would you care if people think you are showing off the fact that you have twins? Thats special and you should have fun!!

Good luck on your party! :)

  4. No offense, but I think its cheesy. Everybody knows you have twins. No need to broadcast it on your shirt. your husbands shirt, your daughters shirt, your sons shirts, etc etc. Besides if you were my mom I'd be so embarrassed if you tried to make me wear something like that- and matching everyone else too! Guess it depends on the kids ages, but still- It's kinda cheesy.

  5. Why don't you and your husband wear something that states you are parents to all or many or find one that says that you are the NEW parents of twins...I wouldn't single out that you are only the parents of twins!

  6. i think it screams that you're trying to draw attention to yourself and you're teaching your kids to do the same.  don't you think people can figure out that they're twins on their own?  the other children may not want to focus their entire day/wardrobe on the kids who happen to be the special twins.

  7. My biggest thing would be if someone in your family was unable to have children. I personally would feel uncomfortable in that situation.

But other than that, feel free!

  8. Yeah maybe a little. It would be fine if maybe just the kids did though.

  9. As a twin in a two sets of twins family, I get the "specialness" of twins.  And I think for little babies, the tshirts are okay.  The only thing that I hesitate on is that the other children may want to be seen as more than just the sibling of this special set that you have.  The mom and dad shirts crack me up, but I also think that it doesn't acknowledge the rest of the kids.  Maybe a tshirt that has stick figure representations of all the kids would be better (how tiny would the twin sticks be??  That might be cute.)

  10. IT'S KIND OF  TACKY. BUT I THINK YOU SHOULD JUST GET  SHIRTS WITH JUST THIER NAMES ON IT AND THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE ONE WITH YOUR NAME AND WORDS THAT  SAY TWO BUNS IN THE OVEN ON YOUR STOMACH.

  11. I think maybe just have your kids wear the shirts, everybody sounds like a bit much.

  12. I personally think its a little cheesy lol, not tacky. Family reunions are supposed to be fun, so go for it if you like it.

  13. It is a bit over the top!  I would do it for the twins at most.

  14. Don't you suppose to babies of the exact same size will draw enough attention and be obviously twins?

You and dad wearing the shirts to a reunion makes me cringe. As the other people said, it will make you look desperate for attention, like a showboating drama queen, or daffy....and what indeed if someone there was infertile or miscarried?

Family reunions are about FAMILY not just YOU

  15. I think it's a really cute idea but maybe you could personalize the shirts a bit more.  You may be making the other children feel left out or less important in that they are siblings of twins as opposed to the individual people they are.

  16. I wouldn't say it's tacky, but definately a little too "cutesy" for my tastes.  However, you know your family better then anyone here does.  Maybe they'll get a kick out of it?

  17. It just seems a bit over-the-top to me. But if it's what you want to do, I don't see why not. I suppose it'd look pretty cute.

  18. I think it's a great idea. It's different and that's what makes it so special. You should go for it who cares what anyone thinks...

  19. I would but it for just your kids-I think the whole family is a bit much

  20. That's way too show offy.  I'd think you all were way corny if I saw you all dressed like that.

  21. It's very cheesy, but if you're proud of your family and want to show it that way, then go for it!!!! I wouldn't think anything if a family member of mine did something like that. If you want to tone things down a little, just get the shirts for the kids. Adult shirts might be a little overboard.
