  1. A better idea would be to volunteer through an existing nonprofit in your area. Then you wouldn't have to undertake nearly so much paperwork, you could get started right away, and you could get experience so that, maybe some day, you could start your own nonprofit.

    You can find these here:

    VolunteerMatch, http://www.volunteermatch.org

    Idealist, http://www.idealist.org

    Change.org, http://www.change.org

    CraigsList, http://www.craigslist.com

    Network for Good, http://www.networkforgood.org

    http://www.1-800-volunteer.org/

    ServeNet, http://servenet.org/

Also, contact your local volunteer center; you can find this via the Points of Light Foundation web site,

    http://www.pointsoflight.org/centers/

If you really want to start the process of starting a nonprofit:

Before you file any paperwork, you need to get a very impassioned group of people together who support your idea and will provide some start up funding and serve on the board of directors, you need to get letters of endorsement from existing organizations saying this program is needed,  you need to have data that shows your target group is in need whatever service it is that you want to provide and that they are not served otherwise, and you need to have a draft of what your first year's budget would look like (what expenses you expect to incur, what you expect to pay staff, etc.)

  2. I would be difficult, but i think it is worth the effort. Just find people who feel the same way. Its always best to have support =]

    good luck!

  3. There are dozens of such programs out there already. No need to reinvent the wheel.

    Check out things like:

St. Jude's which has NEVER turned any child from any country away because they could not pay:

    Shriners:

legit charity checker for health issues:

    We also HAVE programs:

So heaven's NO do NOT start yet another charity--waste of time and money on start-up etc. Donate to existing legit ones.

  4. yes it is possible... if you are really interested to do service to the society.. you can start with your like minded persons, college me ts, friends and other interested people in your local  area...

initially form a un-registered group or committee to get help for the medical aid like getting some free medicine, first aid kits and step by step approach local government hospitals, department of health and hospital management and volunteer organisation like Lions club, Rotary organisation and some christian charitable society will come forward to adopt your village or town to take care of the people's medical needs...

you will find the way to get a primary health centre part time or full time.. some banks and financial institutions, some IT companies also helping people by diverting some little fund from their profit..  slowly you will get one by one..

keep on trying to do some thing in your area..  i do not know your country and place where you want such help.  but anywhere in the world now so many helping hands are ready to help directly and indirectly for the health care, child welfare and educational programmes..

    all the best..

  5. um may be it would a take a while but i will be with you 100%
