  1. Definately. My cousin has a stupid sound system in his car and he definately would hear sirens

  2. If they could crack concrete then they'd break open the heads of the drivers.

  3. First of all let me rewrite the question for you using correct grammar and punctuation so you have a chance of people actually understanding it.

"Do you think that sound systems in cars could crack concrete with the vibration?"

And " Does it distract the drivers attention and reduce their concentration?"

To answer the questions: No it cannot produce a frequency which would cause concrete to crack and yes it does distract the driver and disrupt his/her concentration.

  4. Only if you drop a slab on the offending motorist.

  5. They do distract the driver - my boyfriend had one - until I threatened to smash it in with a hammer unless he took it out of his boot and sold it.

We was driving through a local town going to see his mum and there was an ambulance approaching us from behind, I am a driver as well and I am a lot more assertive on the roads, my boyfriend has his silly music on so loud - he never heard the ambulance sirens, nor did he see them because he never bothered to check his mirror because he was to busy singing ( if you can call it singing! ) to the song that the whole street could hear. As soon as I saw the ambulance approaching in the wing mirror, I turned off the sound system and he, of course, pulled over to let the ambulance pull over. There is proof they DO distract drivers, however the frequency of the vibration is not enough to crack concrete - if it was we'd be left with no footpaths or roads.

  6. absolutely. but not nearly as much so as a cell phone or baby. its been proven that a lot of drivers perform worse on a cell phone than when a little buzzed, in studies. Ive got 2 12"s and 1000watts in my car. but really i just pay attention no matter what is going on. i can usually spot those funny looking cars with the little blinking lights. but it is true that most of the time i can expect to drive my vehicle without the help of outside sound.

  7. No it would crack the concrete.

Yes it is very distracting to the driver other people.
