  1. It is that and more.

Technique/skill, experience, and interpersonal skills with fellow co-actors and those working behind the scenes (producers, directors, etc.)  are just as necessary to be truly great.  However, instinct does not necessarily equate to talent.  Improvisation and spontaneity are only successful if utilized properly and fits into the overall project.  Neither talent is ever born from instinct alone.  Ambition and a strong work ethic are just as vital to perfecting one's art.

  2. Not only is your instinct your talent, but if you do not act upon those instincts you're phucked.

  3. BECOMING A GREAT ACTOR IS ABOUT DEDICATION, BEING OPEN AND FEARLESS, INTELLIGENCE ( MOST GREAT ACTORS READ A GREAT DEAL) FOCUS,

A SENSE OF HUMOR, DISCIPLINE, RELAXATION, GENEROSITY TOWARD OTHER ACTORS, RESPONDING TO DIRECTION, NOT AFRAID TO BE "naked" ( and I don't mean by taking your clothes off - not nude - just able to let all your feelings out in the open - totally!)

AND YES, IMAGINATION, AND LETTING YOUR INSTINCT JUST TAKE OVER.

BEING A GREAT ACTOR TAKES A LOT OF WORK AND EFORT AND YET TO BE BELIEVED - IT MUST LOOK EFFORTLESS AND REAL!

  4. Yes.....I think you have it exactly right.
