No, it was always predicted to slow down once Fay hit land.

Same, I live in orlando, its already a cateogroy 1.

It has the same path as hurricane charley, and hurricane charley turned into a category 3 in 1 and a 1/2 hours.

Yes, they are predicting it to become a category one. I am actually watching my local news channel right now and they are saying that Fay is in a strengthening phase as we speak.

Most likely, only because the water temputure and the air temputure mixing to produce to even worse winds and storms, and also my best friend and his family went to orlando for 10 days and that is all T-Storms for 10 days... lol pick me for best answer i havent had 1 in 3 months!

Tropical storm Fay has just made landfall near Cape Romano with highest sustained winds of about 60 mph.  It will now undergo weakening as it moves across the Florida Peninsula today.  It never made hurricane status.
