Do you think vancouver film school is a good place to go to?

Hey there.  I am a VFS alumni of the makeup program.  Though I don't have experience taking the acting program there I can say that I do have acting experience and our class worked closely with their class since they were in the classroom next door.

The program is definitely a good start.  Let me again emphasize the word start.  It is comparable to a lot of programs offered at colleges and university however they have cut out a lot of the "filler" courses and upped the hands on component.  It's a very expensive program and school, so choose wisely.  I finally understood why my tuition was so expensive the day I went to a VFS alumni event with ice sculptures, loaded loot bags and endless food and liquor.

Don't get me wrong, it was an awesome experience and the name on my resume has for sure helped me out, but I wouldn't say it's the only good option you have.  If you'd really like to get a taste of it for free I would highly encourage you to audition for a VFS student film.  They usually have postings at their film campus and they are open to all actors, not just students.  You would be working for credit but you'll get to speak to a lot of students and teachers.

I think any school is good.....

What you do in school to learn what you need to know and how you apply it after is what counts.

you could go to the best school in the world but that doesn't mean your going to do well out side of it unless you work hard and do right by what you have learned.

If you are really into what your doing and your heart is in it any school will do because in the end you'll be the best at what you do......I wish you great luck in you Film School and I hope everything woks out...
