  1. Depends on the problem ! If your house is infested with cockroaches, you would need to use "an act of aggression , causing injury and death" to solve it ! Violence against another human or race simply leads to retaliation and more violence . The bible says "violence begets violence" .... so true .

  2. No i do not think it would solve violence it would only make one madder.

  3. those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. ~john f. kennedy

  4. yes.. when it comes to crime...

i'm of the feeling that criminals should be hung on the spot. It would save the taxpayers BILLIONS each year in housing the creeps.

  5. I guess it depends on what you mean by violence.  According to Wikipedia - "Violence is the exertion of physical force so as to injure or abuse"

There are circumstances when responding with force is the only option.  If someone's life is threatened, then it is justifiable, to use force against the aggressor.

In a broader sense there is the Just War Doctrine, which describes the conditions which must be met in order to morally engage in the act of War.

Using the definition above, I'd say using force to cause injury certainly can solve problems (think WWII); using it to abuse might not work.
