i have played vollyball for 4 years and at first you think (before you play) "oh this will be easy you just hit a ball with your hands." but once you play its hard because your not used to the hardness of the ball and theres a whole buttload of rules.but once you have been playing for a while it just comes naturally.

Heck no. I played 4 years varsity and I had never played it before then. I thought it'd be easy since I was really good at sports. Wrong. It was tough. And extremely fun during the games (actually only when we played teams as good as us). We ended up winning hte state championship but really, such a hard sport. (and i was only good at serving).

no its not that easy... people sat vball players R wimps but i would like 2 see them pass a ball that is coming at their face at 80mph... its not that easy... its mind over matter sport... it is also a lot of runing because u always hav 2 B ready no matter wut !!! if u work hard and love the sport it will B easier

It isnt easy and no it isnt boring. there is know way of picking up the sport unless some one has tought you. and if you where a real volleyballer youd understand that it is one of the funnest sports to play. go play golf or something if you want a easy boring sport. Volleyball is even fun to watch so you just said is WRONG

Heh, no.  Volleyball is just as difficult as any other sport, and if you are watching good teams, can be just as fun to watch.  I converted many people into volleyball fans during my high school career, and I'm doing in the now that I'm in college.

The problem is that people don't know volleyball.  They know the game you play at picnics where you hit a ball back and forth over a net.  That's not volleyball.  That's really freaking boring.  Volleyball is fast paced and far from boring.  I don't know if I've ever watched a high school varsity match (or higher levels) and not been entertained in some way.  Those who think that volleyball is boring and easy needs to see a real match.

no, it is a tough sport and you really need to know how to hit the ball, how to get it where you want it and *team work*.

No, it takes a lot of conditioning just like football, X Country, Track, and basketball....a lot of people say ooo its the simpliest thing...well its really not you have to move quickly, stay focused 110% and think about if you were the player playing where would you hit the ball!!~

volleyball is a really complex sport, not everyone can play it.  in most colleges the athletes with the highest GPAs are generally volleyball players.

i play volleyball for mn junior olymic team

once you learn it it becomes easier and easier but you can always upgrade

like underhand serve the over hand the jump serve

so ya anyone who says it is easy i would like them to get up and try it

Go play some doubles in the sand when its about 90 degrees outside.  Nobody can dispute that you need excellent conditioning to make it through 3 games in those conditions.  

Now 6 player co-ed at the YMCA then yes it is very easy, boring, and annoying.
