  1. Its an excellent idea, the ultra rich giving us much deserving rep rive from the brink of environmental collapse.

If they do it would be because they just feel like looking like our environmental saviour.

It could be that they hesitate due to concerns with how people are going to be able to handle their decisions ~~ remember the De Loren it promised to give us a break on rusting cars, it became a obsolete vehicle , sometimes doing good in the world leads to unfavourable results by some that feel they are being threatened.

  2. Interesting thought.  Ask them.

They could easily do it - maybe there isn't enough money in it for them.

  3. If Microsoft made wind turbines, they'd randomly collapse twice a day and you'd stop them by pushing the "Start" button.

  4. probably not, because they are a software company.

  5. My husband works on the commercial wind turbines.  You do realize that it's Microsofts software that runs the computers in the wind turbines, right?

You also know about the Bill & Melina Gates Foundation, right?  You know....the foundation where they are going to donate their billions of dollars to humanitarian efforts, before they die.......

You do realize that computers and software are needed to run commercial solar panels, commercial wind turbines, and vehicles, right?  Shouldn't Microsoft concentrate on what they are really good at, and continue to build offices that are very enviromentally friendly, have all kinds of earth friendly technology in their own buildings, and grounds, as well as being the first to start computer recycling?

I grew up in Washington state.....I actually know a great deal about Microsoft, their empoyees, and their building grounds.  Just because they are a wealthy company, does not mean they are not enviromentally friendly.

  7. its not Microsoft's responsibility to save the planet. they make computer software and they make good money doing it. now they are suppose to make something else just because you think so???
