Do you think we can learn from books?

Yes, you can.  Especially one that has lots of pictures/illustrations  if you are visual.  Unfortunately, sometimes it's better to go to lecture if you are weak in a special area and tape a session if permissible in that class.  Sometimes an instructor can say something in class to juggle your memory or say a little jingle to make learning fun and easier.

Other good sources of learning are:  our experiences in life; someone sharing their experiences w/ us; observations and most of all LISTENING.

I'm a huge book reader and I can definitely say that out of EVERY book I"ve read, I learned something. Whether it was where muffins came from or the name of Thomas Edisons mom,I learned something that I didn't know before. I believe knowledge is power and you never know when unrevelent knowledge will come in handy.

Yes you can learn from books,  but the best and most valuable  lessons are learned from EXPERIENCE.

Of course we can. Why shouldn't we be able to learn from books? A have learnt Italian and Greek from books and in a short time I am about to learn French from a book.

I think books are great. Passing information throughout generations. The Bible being the most familiar. Although, what people don't realize is that the internet is the biggest book of all. The WORLDS KNOWLEDGE at our fingertips. To learn everyday, and do research about anything. But people still choose to watch American Idol. drives me nuts

how can you not learn from books? books are pages of information bound together. books were the first learning tools and will always be.all the information you get on this plastic box came from a book someone had written who learned from reading books.
