  1. no way jose..

  2. No we do not, it is far too late to stop global warming, however it is not too late to slow and cut our emissions to  slow the global warming process.  However, we do not even have a chance for that, because in order to do this, everyone needs to get invovled, not only the U.S. but the citizens of the U.S along with other countries in the world and their citizens. However since not everyone is convinced it is our fault that global warming is happening, that isn't going to happen. So everyone has a choice, they can keep living like they are and do nothing, or change little aspects of their life such as shutting off the water while you brush your teeth, reusing plastic/paper bags to grocery shop or changing completely to the cloth bags. Changing your A/C filter regularly, Lose the heavy stuff and don't overpack your car because each 100 lbs. in your car increases gas consumption by 1-2%.

A good website to start is listed below, they allow you to add up your carbon emission and give you tips on how to lower them.

  3. I also think not, but who knows, maybe, just maybe we can!

Please take a look at this question I answered about Global Warming, and give me your opinion on the question asked...

  4. I think the warming would happen on it's own without human interference, so no - I don't think we have a chance of stopping it.

  5. no, it's a natural cycle...........and besides, it's already stopped.  the earth is cooling.

  6. i hope so... i live in a coastal area... but even if 1 person was makin a change to help the earth... there is still 1,000 other people who just dont care to help... including big corporations

  7. If you're talking about AGW, nothing since it doesn't really exist.

The planet has been warming since the last Ice Age, which is why the Bering Land Bridge is no longer above sea level (~11,500years ago).

Human Industrialization or the Industrial Revolution, which is the primary source listed by Pro-AGW folks, has only been around since the late 1800s (~148years).

The Pro-AGW folks like to list Carbon Dioxide as the greatest Greenhouse Gas, but never mention Water Vapor which is responsible for upwards of 95% of all warming taking place.  The only legitimate website that I found which mentions it is in the URL below.  Even they don't list what percentages the Greenhouse Gases occupy in our atmosphere.

I'm still waiting for the single Computer Model that predicts future Global Warming in the next 50years, can accurately include past events and whose one/five/ten year predictions will be verified absolutely accurate.  We know that the further out a prediction gets, the more inaccurate it becomes.  It's why Hurricane Tracking predictions get extremely wide on the weather maps more than a day into the future.

  8. Not likely, since there is too many people in the world to even start something that would make any effect.  We might come up with ways of slowing it down, but not stop it.

  9. Not a chance. The sun controls the warming, not us.

We can not even make it rain, and you want to control global temps, right.

  10. We can't stop what's already been done. But we can make sure things don't get worse. How? By reducing our CO2 emissions. Clean and renewable energy. But we need to get working.

  11. Humans can't stop a force of nature, nor can they start one. Its like trying to start/stop a hurricane or a tornado. As humans we are high minded in the sense that we think we can control or destroy a planet.

So no, i do not believe it is worth investing your time and money into :)

  12. alway have a chance

  13. I think man gives himself more credit for nature changes than she deserves. In the 60's everyone who is now concerned with warming, was concerned about the Nuclear Winter caused by all the bomb tests.  The theory being that testing would throw a lot of stuff into the stratosphere (like volcanoes), which would block sunlight and cool the earth.

Do you think we should start testing again and reverse this warming process?

  14. too d**n late !

  15. No, because proponents of the theory claim it started 250 years ago during the Industrial Revolution and we have only just started to realize its going on.  But that won't stop liberal control freaks from telling you what to eat, what car to buy, how to spend your discretionary time and money etc.

  16. I would say yes but then it would actually have to exist, and it doesn't, so, no answer is really applicable to your question.

Even the CEO of the weather channel and weather.com denounced it, h**l, he even wanted to sue that lame excuse for a douche-bag Al Gore for freaking ppl out about the natural occurrence of cyclical weather patterns!

The average amount that temperatures have risen over the past century is so small that it is minuscule, even erroneous!

  17. No, mother nature beat you to it, it has already stopped.

  18. First off, there are scientists who doubt there is global warming, but they aren't given equal funding or airtime.  It's hard to believe we have that much affect on the plant.  Yes, we are going through a heating period, but the earth goes through cycles of heating and cooling over many years.

Even if it is true, then no.  You'd have to have all countries on board and I don't think N. Korea, Iran, or China are looking to "go green" any time soon.

That being said, we in America should do what we can to insure we have clean air and water, etc.  That benefits everyone and you have tangible results.

  19. It may be too late.  If it's not too late it may be pretty much impossible to reduce CO2 emissions enough to stop it before it is too late.  The scientists who study it don't even know for sure.

  20. sorry, this has been happening since the earth was born, its a cycle, their will be another ice age soon (and by soon i dont mean in a few years) maybe thousands of years? its just a cooling and warming period.

  21. no, because we do not control the sun.

  22. The global warming on Earth? Or the global warming that is occuring  on Mars?

  23. ofcourse

    if world stops driving cars

  24. No ,

we might be able to slow it down ,

but that is also doubtful ,

never will the whole world co operate

we are instead on the brink of more war

which will not be very environmentally friendly

  25. It's not like it's a boolean variable: either warming or no warming, without degrees of warming. Even if we can't stop all the effects, our actions can still moderate the effects.

  26. Any effort we make to reduce global warming will begin to have an effect. It's not like it's never too late.

  27. we actually can but we would have to go back to how we lived in mid evil the dark ages back to more farming and fishing villages horses for transportation or electric cars or hydrogen cars and taking cold showers along with foods that prevent the farmers cows from farting up a storm and water wheels underground homes solar powered homes

  28. I think that we do! If everyone cotributed a little, it'll add up to a lot. For example, we could reuse plastic bottles, acctually RECYCLE, and ACCTUALLY CARE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT! If not, mankind will not survive as long as we hope.
