Whatever you think about the Tibet/China Olympics issue. Aren`t there some people who protest just for the sake of it. Usually on benefits and looking for something to do.

  1. Yes, some people just want any old reason to be p!ssed off; Rent-a-Protester? I doubt they're on benefits, most likely student who have read up on the subject and want to say their peace.

The issue of Tibet/China is a very serious one that will not be resolved by abusing police and security teams.

They're probably the same folk who picketed the Iraq war soldiers, Diana Trial, fox hunting and god knows whatever cause celebre is out there.

    Get a life

  3. I think you are right.  Like these global trade protesters aren't even sure what they are protesting about.  To them, its something to do and and a sense of community.

$8 to &10 an hour for standing on the street holding a sign ain't bad is it?

  5. People are always figuring conspiracies like that.

Like people always rapping that beggars secretly drive home in Cadillacs.

Or the neighbor talking and living big when in reality it's a credit card crash waiting to happen.

  6. Yes, they are called lobbiests!  Seriously there is a guy who is paid to stand outside the Vice President's residence and protest the Cahtolic Church,  He is there every day rain or shine.

  7. there is a lady in DC who is a permanent protester. I think she's been there for like 20 yrs.

  8. yes you are right

they have nothing better to do

PS, and to think we workers pay tax so they can get benefits from the government

  9. You mean like Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington?

    They were all protesters.

  10. I would hardly call those people "professional". I think you're right...they're usually looking for something to do and usually want to draw attention to themselves just for the sake of doing it.  I'm not saying that protesting is bad, just that some people go overboard, and come to find out....QUITE A FEW OF THEM DON'T EVEN VOTE!!!!

  11. yea, mostly students who dont know anything anyway...

  12. A major difference between the US and other countries is that in the US, people without any education are much louder.

Another difference is that a lot of Americans are true "romantics" in the sense that the real world is just not enough like what they would like it to be and imagine instead an alternative reality they live in.

  13. Yes.

  14. Umm what? The tibet/China issue is GRUESOME so I suggest you research it. I do think people protest what they feel is right not just to do it so to speak and I know people who are upper middle class/rich who also protest. It's not a class issue.

  15. possibly

  16. For $50 I'll protest your question.

  17. yes I'm a professional protester, I'm constantly sending e-mails and even had the audacity to make a sign and stand by the post office, and I'm on SS, I'm also attempting to raise a family of four on the pittance I get for working 38 years,Ive got multiple myeloma and have been placed on disability, We used to get 125.00 per month for food but since my wife was actually able to get ajob at Wendy's they stopped that payment, my children are 11and 9 and sometimes don't understand why we only have boiled potato's and peas for dinner. we could use the waste burger from Wendy's ,but if they catch you taking them home you get fired So yes I protest, ,if we can spend 1oo TRILLION A YEAR ON THESES WARS THEY COULD  HELP TO FEED MY FAMILY

  18. I believe there is, just watch the news and see what groups are getting their name out there during a protest, they are funded by someone.

  19. wat a profession

  20. Of course.  Funny thing is, most of the time they probably don't even know what they're protesting.... they're just professional victims / moochers.

  21. I think there are people who regularly protest many issues. I doubt that any are actually "Paid" for it.

  22. They are no better than the professional propagandists who destroyed the economy.
