  1. I think that is crazy to not to mention how sweaty and stinky you would be and your clothes would be all messed up.

  2. Biking isn't a realistic option for many people. I encourage those that can to do it. There are other options as well, public transportation, carpool, telecommute etc.

I think where you work should be a consideration when you decide where to live, I've never lived too far from where I worked. I would never waste 3 hours a day in my car to get to work.

  3. Of course not. I am about 10 miles from work. It's questionable if I could do it. It's not that easy of a ride with the bad drivers, narrow, curvy, and very hilly roads.

I'm p'od that roads, etc. were not designed with pedestrians and cyclists in mind. It makes it so that you absolutely have to drive or risk your life. It's insane.

  4. Keep the car!  We should not have to suffer for the mistakes of the Democratic party and the Liberal tree huggers.  Let THEM bike to work or in horse drawn carriages for all I care.  We are Americans made from many countries, but we are NOT a third world country, nor European, nor Asian where there are bicycles everywhere.  America is different.  We can't always be taking the bus or train everywhere.  Our transportation system is lacking.  Our weather is different.  You can't ride five miles to work at night in a blizzard on a bike.   I'd like to see Al Gore do that.  We need our cars and trucks, especially in rural country areas.

  5. It is a redicoulous idea. It would be just best to drive to work to be honest. Drives to and from work really don't impact the environment as much as we think it does. Plus most people's jobs are over 10 miles away average. Not good to ride on a bicycle...

  6. I for one can't...I live in one state work in another and it's mostly freeway after I get out of the country. For me it would be waaaaay too much trouble. So, I try to help the earth in other ways!

  7. I would if I lived less than 10 miles away, but it's not the only option.  I've used carpooling, buses, and telecommuting, and you probably could do at least one of those too.

  8. you shouldn't bike to work if it's that far... you should take the bus or the metro.

  9. No you would be to tired to work . Instead ride a horse or mule .

  10. This is controversial thought.Who told us to walk, ride the bicycle, ride the bus? It is the government told us that. The government did not promote the job that closer to the home we lived but they like us to travel in the long distances.

  11. maybe

  12. Take public transportation or carpool. Yeah. For you to bike to work would be crazy.
