What I was getting at, was to at least threaten them because you and I know that gasoline is way to high. I think more people should contact their representatives and raise h**l about it.

  1. Government must not connive with oil companies in raising the price of oil.

  2. The oil companies, aren't in iraq.

Iraq has two State owned oil companies.

You won't find BP, Exxon, etc in Iraq.

  3. You realize that the Iraqi government has total control of their countries oil?  And that the contracts for managing the Iraqi oil fields are up for competitive bids from companies all over the world?

  4. Gas prices aren't high because of Iraq.

    Saudi Arabia produces 9,021,000 bbl/day

    Iraq only produces 2,250,000

and their reserves are as follows:

    1.   Saudi Arabia   264.3

    2. Canada 178.8

    3. Iran 132.5

    4. Iraq 115.0

    in billions of barrels

We should totally blame Canada, theyre nice and close and we wouldn't need ships to get there

  5. The problem is that we invaded Iraq so we could give it to the oil companies.

I think  we should nationalize the oil companies.

  6. I am sorry, but I believe that what we see is what we get in regards to the media. I believe that 95% of what we see on the news is fabricated or "softened" (if I may) for our ears. Do you honestly think that with all of the other oil reserves there are around the globe that Iraq is the only reason our gas prices are up? I think that Mr. Bush is reaping financial benefits in some way. To me, (and this is my opinion here...take it or leave it) it seems that gas prices have risen way too much and quicker than ever....and this coincidentally began around the time Mr. Bush came into office. Obviously we are going to have inflation....like always....but come on now....here, in parts of NY gas is almost $4 a gallon....that is unnacceptable. THAT $4 a gallon has very little to do with Iraq...and in my opinion much more to do with our President who is thankfully on his way out.

All I am saying here is don't take what you see in the media as all truth. Not only is it mostly softened for our ears but we aren't even hearing most of it. Most of our governmental happenings are swept under the rug. I believe that as the calendar changes...it will only get worse until he is out.

Be prepared for about a year of Mr. Bush getting as much money out of us as he can. That's what he'll be concentrating on until he is out of office. He has nothing better to do since he isn't helping our people, troops, community, or EDUCATION for that matter (he destroyed education by the way..and as a teacher...I know... that one is not my opinion...it is a FACT).

P.S. I was a supporter for Mr. Bush way back when. Until I grew up and realized that he really is a liar. His government lied to my friend in the military constantly...and because of that...he is no longer here...he died in combat in Iraq.

My point here is don't look at the oil companies and Iraq....look a bit closer at our grand organizer.
