  3. its bonfire night.  that is until the government bans it on health and safety grounds.

  4. That is so funny :D

Why not everything else is getting Americanized. Who needs Europe when we have America

  5. Great Idea - keep up the good work !

  6. Americans would call it 11/5, if that's the model you want to follow.  But no, leave it as is.  You can't mess about with tradition.

  7. Don't you think that's unkind & unrealistic.

  8. After careful consideration for all of a nano second, NO!.

Guy Fawkes bonfire night is just that a BRITISH EVENT, not a GD american creation, though give it time and they'll claim they invented it.

  9. Don't you mean "Americanise"?  Aww gee bob......

  10. That's pretty callous.

  11. I think they should, after all we have a 9/11 a 7/7 a 3/11....

why we even have a 7/11 down the street from me.

  12. NO!! Bonfire night, or Guy Fawkes night is far more romantic. It's TRADITION for crying out loud. Why are people so h**l bent on trying to destroy harmless traditions??

  13. No, this is the Americans wrecking the British language again, its not 5/11 or 9/11 or 7/7 its the 5th of November, the 11th of September or the 7th of July, its not just Americans now of course there are also those who cant manage a sentence without using the words 'man' or 'innit'. Some people need some serious English lessons.
