  1. we don't have any royal family here in the States...

  2. Which royal family the english one? If so then I dont know because I dont know what they do exactly.

  3. no. If more people were like the Queen the world would be a better place (despite the many complaints about Prince Charles he does work very hard to make the world a better place

would you prefer to be led by George Bush?

  4. no, not at all, we tried that once and got them back after 15 years, they do a fine job

  5. No.

Some of them work really hard as ambassadors for our country - I can't remember how many official visits the queen did last year but it was well over 400. If we didn't have them we would have to pay people to do their job anyway - or waste more of our politicians time on goodwill visits etc

International relations are more important than you think

  6. Gosh no.  You need someone to keep the palace aired

  7. No because the alternative would cost us a great deal more money>

  8. Our royals went the way with the spiky helmets.

  9. No. ♣

  10. And replace them with what, exactly?   Queen Kerry Katona?  President Tony Blair?

  11. Yes, but then re-employ them out in the fields searching for land mines that their lot planted had planted there a few years ago. If they really cared about anything.

  12. if that is what you wish to do

  13. No!

    best of luck to you!

  14. i think we should sach all the royalty in this world.just my opinion

  15. I don't understand how there can be any royalty today. i think they are all a bunch of useless bags of c**p! the people should take back what is theirs!!!

  16. The English Royal family is okay, and due to various laws the king and queen (there's only a queen now) have virtually no power whatsoever. The United States has no royalty, but the Island of Tonga in the Pacific has a most unpopular Prince (I think he may be king now) on the throne.

  17. Of course.  They've "timed out".

  18. No way. On what grounds could you sack an employee who's job is to loaf around doing sod all. Anyway you would have to follow established procedure and first give them verbal and written warnings about their conduct. Something like:

Dear Queen, it has come to my attention that you have now been spotted on several occasions engaged in activities that can only be described as non idle. These include wiping your own butt and chewing your own food. This behaviour is in breach of you contractual arrangements and certainly at odds with hundreds of years of custom and practice. If this behaviour continues I will have no choice but to terminate your employment and seek another useless lazy sponger to fill your position.

  19. Let the amiable Elizabeth II be the last. Their escapades in for the last several decades provide more bad than good.

Most important, they take the focus off the real ruling class that are in the Parliament and lesser officials. Nothing personal, just seems like the sensible thing to do. The Queen is nice but only a mannequin. This last episode with Diana convinces me they only divert attention from important government issues.

  20. No,I think that they do as good a job as anyone else could do.All the ambassadorial work they do is certainly not to be sniffed at.I don't think I would like to do it,ok,so you get to go to some parties and host others but,it can't be easy keeping a smile on your face when you know you are dealing with someone who is clearly mentally deranged,of a criminal persuasion or both.Look how the Queen put on a brave face when meeting George Dubbya Bush.Give them their due, they do work hard at what they do.

  21. here here PIB...................you hit the nail on the head.....kudos!

  22. Absolutely yes! We have absolutely no use for them, as the only thing they do is to spend the tax-payers money, and give absolutely nothing back!

  23. No, because who would open allthe hospitals and stuff then??? They do bring in torisum dollars, and if we didn't have a royal family we would have a president instead, who would cost ten times as much and bring no income in at all. It is nice to have tradition and history, a royal family is part of ours. America is just spending billions on their presidentual ellection, when they have no free healthcare and people living in real poverty years after disasters like katrina. Be glad you are british! We have a lot to be thankful for.

  24. No.  Constitutional monarchy is a very good way of fixing and neutralising the ultimate source of authority.  A republic wouldn't improve Britain in any way - least of all, financially.  The traditions the monarchy embodies mean a lot to people.

That's what my HEAD  says, but in my HEART there's a basement room I would lead them all to and mow them all down with machine-gun fire!
