  1. No problem they can adjust the price of gas to cover it

Now who needs the other the most??

  2. I've said this for a long time now. Everyone thinks I'm nuts or mean. But really, why do we feed our enemies? The USSR, for example, would have fallen way back in the 70's if we hadn't fed them through all those winters. The same applies to N. Korea. Long winters there. All those warlords in Africa would be a thing of the past if it wasn't for all those "aid" packages they commandeer.

It'd hard to commit atrocities when your busy barbecuing your house pets just to survive.

The oil crisis could be solved the same way. Oil is $140 a barrel? No problem. A loaf of bread is now $200.

Yeah, it'd hurt in the short term; but we can drill our own oil. Can they grow wheat in their sandbox?

We win in the end. Or rather, the free world wins.

  3. Yes, I am sure they will buy corn from us at that price and no one will do that just to be fair to the USA and the Saudi's.

    .

  4. we're going to be paying more than that if we keep burning it up in our gas tanks.

  5. Absolutely.  Make it $250 a bushel.  :-)

  6. Sure, great idea.

    I agree with Taker.

  7. i can go pretty much forever without oil.  on the other hand i can go maybe two days without food.  perhaps i'm over-simplifying, but that says to me food is the more valuable.  much more valuable.

  8. I thought all the corn had washed down the river in the floods.
