Do you think we will experience another Great Depression?

The economy is so bad. Gas is about to go up to five dollars a gallon in September and the price food is high. Also a lot of people are being laid off and losing their homes.

  1. Recession is when your neighbor has no job, depression is when you don't have a job.

    There are too many govt. supports in place to allow a depression on the scale of the one in the 30's.  

    therefore the answer is NO


  2. This is normal.

  3. Yes, but it won't be nearly as bad as the original. The Fed is way too active now.

  5. No, we'll experience stagnation where there's no growth, but no declines either. Won't be nearly as bad as the Great Depression.
