Is the  hoof crack  really healed?   It may not even be a good idea for Big Brown to run the Belmont.   Chances of winning the triple crown are reduced; why risk the horse?.

The only one who appears to be 100% confident that Big Brown will win the Triple Crown is Rick Dutrow.  From what I've read, as long as the quarter crack doesn't get any worse, it shouldn't be an issue.  But, the other horses may be an issue.  Everyone was sure that Smarty Jones, Funny Cide and War Emblem, each of whom had won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, was about to become the next Triple Crown winner, but each time, another horse stole the show.  And two of the times, the rider beating the odds-on favorite was Edgar Prado, who has the mount on Casino Drive this year.  I would like to see a triple crown winner this year but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I like to think that we will but anything can happen in a horse race. I've done some reading up on his pedagree and he has a line on his dam's side that goes past the Great War Admiral to his sire Man O War. Man O War was known for leaving his competetion lengths behind so Big Brown reminds me of him. If nothing else it will make for a great race!!!!!!
