Do you think we will see our loved ones again?

After we die? I'm not religious and to be honest I don't know if I can believe in an afterlife. I have to wonder why we are here though and why God would create us in the first place? Why do we humans think we are superior to other creatures here on Earth.

I lost my uncle in December and I miss him so much so I have been thinking about all of this lately.

  1. I do hope to see them...well,  not all but selected few.

But I believe in re-incarnation.  So if they have chosen to come back then I may not meet them in the upper realms...

  2. Why are we created by God? Simple. To do good/right things and avoid doing bad/wrong things. Why we are superior, because we have 4 elements while other creature may only have 3 that is the elements of animality, emotionality, and rationality.  But for us, we have one more and that is spitituality. And for the first question, INDEED we will have an afterlife where we could see our loved ones.

  3. hey man i feel the same way. I lost my great grandmother several months ago and my only regret is that i wasn't able to talk about the past with her before she died. so i would like to talk to her and discuss everything we did together because they were among the best moments of my childhood life. i'm still young, but those memories remain with me.

i wonder the same things you do. But I think our purpose in life is to choose what our purpose is. Is our purpose to help others? Is it our purpose to be a strong role model so that others may follow? You never know what your purpose may be. Maybe it's to be an olympic athlete. stuff like that.

i hope i get to see my love ones again.

  4. I wish I could see my loved ones again, but i don't believe I ever will. Our personalities, our memories, our physical traits, all that resides within the here and now. After we die and our brain shuts down, we're gone.

Even if human beings had souls they would not contain our past memories, our personalities, or anything that makes us who we are today, How could they?

For there to be an afterlife it would have to transcend our 5 senses, it would have to be a completely alternative reality to what we experience now.

  5. To start, here are a couple of interesting links for reading. It will help to explain what is going on in the afterlife. And yes, we'll get to meet our loved ones when we make the transition one day.

Well, for most of us the reason for being here in this world is so that we learn some lessons, not always easy but necessary for our growth as spiritual beings. Many also come to Earth to help humanity in some way, shape, or form. We all have talents, certain skills, which we should use in service to mankind.

The reason human beings are of more importance is because we have the ability to recognize our own 'soul', also called self-realization. This is the Godlike centre within each of us and is our true state, made in God's image and likeness, and is eternal.

    I wish you well.

  6. Sorry to say but NO! .I wish there is an afterlife .I lost my Grandmother & father last year in the same month .And I miss them to but Death is just another part of life that's it .

  7. I think everyone has a purpose on Earth, and God has put us here for whatever that reason may be, I'm not quite sure of mine yet, but it can take time to figure out why and maybe it'll take a week, we don't really know how long it might take. I lost my grandma in October and it's not unusual or a bad thing to think about such things, I'm not going to force religious things down your throat or into your mind. I'm not hardcore Christian that tells everybody they must believe or die, that's between that person and God. But, it can be hard and sad to wonder will you ever see them again. I think because we are human and we have minds and are able to talk, we thing we're better than others...but to answer your question yes I do believe I will see my loved ones again, it would be hard to think I wouldn't.

  8. Faith can move mountains. If we have a strong belief, then we can do it too.

  9. I do think that we will see our loved ones again. Except there is a variable, some go up and some go down, so depending on the direction your spirit goes when you die, will decide who you will see again, and under what circumstances.

    Sorry for your loss.
