Do you think when walmart supercenter opens in your town, all the other stores will be closed?

the 210,000 sq. ft. store will be open in january 2009 at my town. it will be located at west landis ave., vineland, nj. i like walmart too. is walmart supercenter is building in your town too?

I  have 2 supercenters within 10 miles of my home.  No businesses have gone down since Wal-Mart opened.  One has been opened for about 10 yrs, and a few yrs. ago it moved locations and became a supercenter and a new one opened a yr. ago.

Walmart is by far, the strongest super power who sells merchandise. Walmart sells stuff really cheap, which usually other stores cannnot compete with them and they are soon shut down. The only thing walmart cannot control are resturants.

I'm just a customer, not a business person, all I can give you is my own experience.

It doesn't necessarily mean that all stores will close. It's possible that some of them will. If stores play their cards right, they may be able to give people something that Walmart Supercenter can't. One small, older grocery store in my town is just right down the street from a Walmart Supercenter. Business is booming there because it's convenient to go there, the service is great, and their meat department is renowned. On the other hand, one across town went out of business once they opened the Walmart.
