Do you think whoever invented those closing ceremony lighted ring bicycles could sell a ton of them worldwide?

I could see tons of little kids in America alone riding around at night, being the attention getter of the neighborhood. (In those few neighborhoods that are safe enough to be out in at night.) I'm ready to start a franchise to sell a ton of them.

  1. Awesome! Let's go with Schwinn, Raleigh or Diamond Back bikes. Huffy is definitely out. I wanna do the whole ET thing to. Do you think we can get airborne over my neighbors house without an ugly space monster riding in a basket?

  2. I don't think it's a practical transportation method.  As it's hard to balance, hard to steer and hard to see past the wheel.  I noticed one guy had to veer his neck to the side to see where he was going.

And even as a toy it would be hard to sell.  Perhaps some in the beginning, but after some kids fell and injured themselves, soon law suits will follow.  You know Americans and their lawyers...

  3. Yeah, those bikes are pretty cool.  However, I don't think they are quite practical, since I think that they wouldn't be too appealing in the real world (such as biking to work or to school).  But for a kids toy, yeah, that's quite a good idea.

  4. Those bikes were cool...I can't see why they wouldn't be a good seller....
