I think it will start a new era of diseases which are still unknown to mankind.

  1. I think we're a long way away from wireless electricity. I mean, people already have issues with power-lines/converters being too close to houses; I can't imagine what they'd think about having hundreds of volts running through the air of your house. And we don't know the consequences in living a electricity saturated environment, which could very well mess us up. I don't know about any diseases though. I'd go more along the lines of mutations and deficiencies.  Right now they have surfaces that recharge things like phones and ipods. I think that's a better way to go.

  2. Wireless electricity would waste 99% of the generated power - at least, probably. Power would be received only where there is a receiver, all other would be wasted. It simply won't happen.

Power beamed from solar power satellites is different. It would use highly directional antennas to beam the power to antenna systems in remote areas, probably deserts to avoid clouds. Transmission efficiency would be about 50%. Then it would be distributed over the conventional power grid.

  3. Most definitely, yes. But I don't think we're going to be able to see it in our life time!!

It'll make our life much easier! But I don't know about new era of diseases lol. Wireless signals, the scientists say, can cause harm these days. They say that if you talk on the phone for like 4 hours straight it damages your health. So I wouldn't rule out your prediction!

  4. It will not start any diseases.  Electricity is just the flow of electrons, and that already happens naturally in the human body anyway.

I think a lot of stupid people will end up getting shocked.  Then only the smart will be left to breed and mankind will be better off.  Darwin's theory...

  5. There has to be some way for electrons or charge to flow from one point to another -- that's what electricity is.

If we didn't need wires, that would be great!  Electricity could be made anywhere in the world and sent anywhere in the world... but thats sort of like teleportation.  Like traveling withough a car or airplain.

Yes, the world would be changed without electrical powerlines!  Just like it would be changed if we didn't need cars or airplanes to travel long distances.  But it's unlikely unless you are on the verge of a new type of science.

    Take care,

    David

  6. It sounds good. But big magnetic fields flying around.  I would be critical of the inherent safety of that.

  7. I  think   it  will  not   help  as  far  as  our  government  is  not

    improved.Nothing  can  help  us.

  8. It would change the world, but it is impossible, and im sure there would be controversy and deseases and stuff.
