There Next console will incorporate the Wii controller and motion sensing with cutting edge technology like Xbox 360 and the PS3?

They certainly have made enough money to do so.

Or DO you think there lack of 3rd party games would ruin them in this scenario?

  1. i think sony and nintendo whould sign a contract or something, and do that. s***w microsoft all they want is money. so you would pay for online. sony and nintendo will be sweet. the thing with the wii, they have too many kiddie games. i want to play gta and call of duty 4, but nintendo is making wii music, and wii sports 2. its frustrating. im buying a ps3 so i can play those games. but think about, The Playstation Wii.

  2. Last I checked, shiny graphics aren't "cutting edge technology". PS3 and XBox360 have not improved the gaming market...they've just pumped more horsepower into the graphics. A mediocre game isn't made better with realistic graphics.

If the pretty graphics are cheaper by the time that Nintendo is ready to make their next console, then I'm sure they'll invest in them. However, Nintendo's strategy is to put their money into innovative gaming experiences and accessories before worrying about the graphics. Anyway, the Wii does have great graphics; check out Metroid Prime 3.

  3. Actually the third parties after seeing the success of the wii are flocking to it, most dismissed it before its release but have had to change tact, I think it will bring an improved version of the wiimote with wiimotion plus type technology built and improved on, I think the main thing it will include would be a hard-drive due to the unexpected success of its download-able games, but as for trying to match any future consoles in terms of processing power and polygon count, then Nintendo has moved away from that because if thats what consumers where really concerned about then the PS3 or 360 would be the top selling console not the wii.

The Sony and Nintendo thing is never going to happen, although they may be both from Japan, business wise they are far too different, any possible union between the two died with the failure of the CD add-on for the SNES that became the PSone, so its already proven they can't work together.

  4. I THINK Nintendo's next home gaming system will probably have the graphic capabilities of the current Xbox 360 and PS3...  So... while that will be a nice leap upward in graphics, it still won't be as graphically powerful as Microsoft's and Sony's next systems!!

Microsoft and Sony BOTH have WAY MORE money to burn when it comes to developing a system with cutting edge technology and all...  And while Nintendo has certainly been making lots of money lately with the Wii and DS, that just doesn't even compare to the amount of dollars that Microsoft and Sony can work with...

So, I don't see Nintendo releasing the next generation system with the BEST graphics...  But... once again, they'll be focusing on making a gaming system with the most fun and innovative GAMEPLAY!!  The graphics will most definitely be better than the Wii (And like I said earlier, probably comparable to what the 360 and PS3 can do now) but not as good as what Microsoft and Sony will put out next...

  5. I think next gen, Nintendo is going to have the cutting edge graphics and a hard drive, but Nintendo needs to do something to get the 3rd party developers to start putting more core games on the Wii, especially FPS games, cause that is the most popular genre right now, I love Nintendo and wont ever trade my Wii in, but I also bought a 360 a week ago, cause they are spending money and trying to get alot of 3rd party support. I just hope that Nintendo will think more of there core gamers next gen.

  6. I wish I could answer that, so far I have been unable to get a nintendo Wii The stores I go to are always sold out.  Should I stop trying if there is going to be a new and better model coming out
