  1. In a true polygamous marriage, which is nothing like what you hear goes on those compounds in the states; it goes something like this. Take a man who has two wives. When he buys one wife a pearl necklace; he has to buy the other wife the same thing; women talk alot and word does get out.  No decent man will ever put his two wives in the same house, apartment, or what have you. That's indecent; not only is it indecent it adviertises what it is he's after, though otherwise may be said.  Actions speak a lot louder than words.  However, there is a drawback; a man has only one heart.

  2. Women have to demonstrate that the deserve anything men give them.

Feminists have proven they deserve nothing from man.

  3. Polygamy is a cult. There is no equality in a cult.

  4. No, women can't be equal in that society. It's obvious. She's given a bit role in her own life.

  5. No. It would have to be groups wit multiple men and women. I forgot what they're called.

  6. I read in the Qu`ran that even thugh a man is allow to have up to four wives that one is best if he only knew.

To me relationships are hard especially now days, to have mutliple relationship is a ride I dont want to get on. My uncle once told me about his struggle with being pursued by women while married. He told me a wife is a headache but shes his headache. He dont need more headaches.

With all the polygamy I say pass the advil.

  7. Of course it depends on the relationship in reality - I believe some of them can be equal, but it often leads to abuse and degradation.

But why does polygamy have to be a man with multiple wives? Why can't it be truly equal - women with multiple husbands as well?

  8. It would all depend on their personal relationship.  I wouldn't care for it because there wouldn't be enough man to go around for me!

I'd much rather have multiple husbands!  :)

  9. Sure, but only if the law applies equally to men and women.  The rest is up to individuals.  You know that equal opportunity thing.

  10. Women invariably have a lower status in polygamous societies.  Equality is not possible where you have polygamy.

  11. Historically, polygamous marriage is found almost exclusively in agrarian societies, and agrarian societies are the least egalitarian societies of all.  There is good reason why it has been made illegal in industrial societies.

So "no", and I am supposing you are referring to gender equality.

  12. It's emotionally abusive to women.
