I think mine's cute because he talks, he now says all sorts including 'I like beer' 'Clever Boy' 'Does my bum look big in this' and various words I cant really repeat... :)

Yes they are. I am getting one for my cockatiel. She is lonely. If you are considering getting one, they can learn to speak if they are by themselves. If they are with another bird, they will make wierd noises. Anyways, if that is something you want, you can either go to a bird store or adopt one from mickaboo.com.  They rescue birds of every sort.

Yes.  I want one, but not allowed because of the noise.  Maybe after the cuteness wears off they'll become extremely annoying.

Yeah, especially when they fall asleep together on a perch, all tucked up and nudging each other, or when one of them preens the other one. And sometimes they do funny little songs where they bob their heads.

YES!!! I love these little poof balls! they are adorable and are great pets for any level of bird keeper!! Still trying to convince dad to let me get one! : P

Haha well all birds are noisy. Every one has a unique little scream that can really wrack your nerves. I've got a Rosella, really cute bird that I got off my nan last year. He's quite timid - I still haven't hand reared him, but he screams so loud!!

Budgies are really nice anyway, little balls of feathers :) I wouldn't mind getting some actually, I just think budgies and rosellas wouldn't mix.. :P

Some budgies are, but they do have grumpy moments.

I have a budgie called Parsley that's grumpy at the moment because his mate has just laid an egg. When she hasn't got any eggs or any babies he is lovely and will come out of cage and sit on my shoulder and walk around with me to do the other waters for all 95 budgies I have and he will preen my face.
