  1. I'm really torn on this one. In high profile areas you usually need a good clientele to make the most money. Usually the new girl doesn't get many clients in an area like that. So lets say for fun you already have a big clientele and you're making the big bucks.. the cost of living in places like LA is so high, are you really making that much money in the end?! I personally think at first, no you don't make more money. But maybe with a good 20-25 years of experience, yes.


  2. In order to work in high profile areas such as LA you would have to be really fantastic at what you do.  You also would need references that can attest to how wonderful you are as well as an extensive history in hair styling.  People in LA don't just pick people straight out of college to style hair.  They charge outrageous prices for hair because they hire outrageously talented stylists.
