  1. No. You want to go fast, and don't stop for anything.

  2. Yes, it is true.

  3. yes if i drive from manchester to london at 80mph i have to refill my car to come back,But if i drive the same drive all the way at 56mph i can get there and back and still drive a further 150-200 miles the following day.

  4. yes...BUT..when i go somewhere i want to get there...if you go 55 or 60 on interstate.hyway...the trucks will eat u up..

  5. I've heard that  if you drive slower and do follow the speed limits you will save gas but I doubt it. (Or maybe I don't want to believe it's true because I like speeding)

  6. its all non-sence.its is truly wrong ok. if you car does it put  some C.N.G in your car.

  7. Absolutely, you can save gasoline by driving the speed limit.  The faster your vehicle goes, the harder it has to push through the air in front of it and the more energy it takes to make that happen.  If you're in top gear and driving 65mph, you're going to use less energy than driving 80mph.

  8. sure you save a lot of gas by driving at 60 mph than say 75 mph.

the worst is speeding up and slowing down, if you have a cruise control that helps a lot.

  9. Yes, also make sure your tires are properly inflated, that makes a big difference,  for road safety to...

  10. Up to a point, yes. There are many other factors to consider, but if you are talking about highway speeds, yes, you can get significantly better MPG driving 65 than 75.

When your car is moving, the motor is moving not only the weight of the car and passengers, it has to push itself through the air. The affect that air has on a moving object is called drag. The faster you go, the more drag affects your car and the increase is not just '10' more at 75 than at 65 or even 15% more. The increase in drag is logarithmic.

  11. Well, driving 55-60 is the ideal speed for saving fuel. It has been proven by several studies.  You can save upto 30% on fuel milage by stickin around 60.
