i was just wondering if you believe someone can be happy without love.

for example, if you have a career you really enjoy. and/or you have lots of great friends surrounding you. and you live some place you love that you consider gorgeous.

is it possible to achieve true happiness without attaining true love and just have zero or more flings here and there?

  1. alot of people do!. they just play the field, without settling for that 1 and only girlfriend or boyfriend.

  2. When you are able to be happy with who you are then you will be happy. When people are happy and noticeable so then you will attract others and in a sense create the attmosphere to draw someone who could possibly be a true love.Good luck. Also ,If you arent happy with yourself you cannot be happy with anyone.

  3. Nope.

  4. Of course you can! happiness comes from what you know and what you feel. Whether its love from family or the joy of completing a project. How can you miss what you don't know or never had?

It's like saying you would miss the sunnny beaches of Cancun when you've only ever lived in Alaska.  Just doesn't work that way.

  5. There are many different kinds of happiness.  There is the happiness that we share with our friends and then there is that special, pure and innocent happiness that comes with true love.  So yes, you can experience true happiness without true love, but you will never experience true love happiness.

  6. I agree that love is a necessary component in a complete life, but it doesn't necessarily have to be romantic love.  It could be love for your child or family, for you career, for God if you're in the clergy.  Love is a concept much larger than just romance.

  7. This is a very good question.

    The answer is conditional.

If you find true love in your heart, then you will find your partner (or they will find you) to share that love with.

If you are not finding true love in your heart, then your relationship will not blossom into true happiness. There will always seem to be something 'missing', and you and your partner will not feel fulfilled in the relationship and life together. It seems obvious, but bears mentioning:

Your partner must also find love in their heart for your relationship with them to blossom into true love, for it must be mutual love.

Now then, onto the crux of your question, which is the term: 'true happiness'.

True happiness is to be content.  One can be content without anything except being alive, which is true love, even when alone.

It is a joy and privilege to be alive, even when suffering. True love is our existence. When shared with a partner, that is truly great.

  8. If you can't be happy without true love, chances are you'll never experience true love. If you can't be happy with yourself you can't expect others to be happy with you either.

  9. Love..is an inspired form of giving, love breathes life into the heart and brings grace to the soul..

Happiness is when one's spiritual needs are met by an untroubled inner life...

Happiness comes when your words and deeds are of benefit to yourself and others...

  10. absolutely not...

believe me some how somewhere you will find true love or it will find you.

with your bizzy live style and happy home...

there is someone who will love to share tat with you.
