  1. Depends on how much you work and what type of job. If you are at work you can loose the social skills you have out of work. A lot of jobs are now high stress now that were not considered so a couple of years ago. But its really a case by case stance some people deal really well with stress and are able to vent it accordingly.

I would say in a general sense that if you focus on work too much it can affect you physically, mental, socially and affect your family.

  2. Yes, definately.

Everyone needs to take a break from the routine of work and get exercise, recreation and relaxation away from it.  It makes the life more well-balanced and there is more opportunity to socialise with people that you would not normally meet.

  3. I don't think so. Too much focus alone wont hurt health as long as you are  managing the time well.

  4. I think it depends on whether the focus for you emotionally is negative or positive. Negative can very much affect ones health.

But if the focus, even positive causes you to ignore your own physical needs, it also can affect you health

  5. You might get too stressed out, which isn't the greatest thing for your health.

  6. yes, I do believe the health is affected when to much focus is placed on work.

My husband use to have the patience of Job.

But since he became the "workacholic" he has road rage, high blood pressure, high colesteral, his stress level is so high I'm constantly worried that he is going to have a heart attact. The slightest thing will set him off. His temper gets so out of control that it's scary.

He was never this way until the all mighty dollar became so important. aka WORK!
