  1. Not at all.  I had to really push to get the people around me to recycle their paper and its still very poor.  Also the amount of plastic cups they go through each day is unreal.  Why they cant just take a mug and use that rather than a new plastic cup every visit i dunno!  Thats what i do.  They do have a recycle bin for the plastic cups but it isnt always used either.

I really want to put a poster on the machine to try encourage people to just take their own cups, but im still quite new here.

I wished they used recycled paper in their printers and photocopiers too.

  2. They already recycled paper when I got here.  I have really got the boss trying to change the habits of the older people in the office.  They print everything instead of saving the document electronically.  They really don't know how to take full advantage of the computer and its capabilities.

  3. Some places I work recycle almost all the paper/cardboard it uses, but it prints out everything instead of just sending it electronically from one work station to another.

  4. Not really. This is so much true in case of the copier and fax room. People who absolutely have no idea using a copier keep wasting pages. They don't even bother to put the paper they have wasted into the recycle bin. It sometimes is so frustrating to tell them. And yes as someone mentioned everyone wants a printed copy of their emails, in duplicate!! Printing funny jokes, cartoons of the day and sticking them on their billboards. And usage of water in the restrooms. But things are improving slowly but surely. A bunch of us have decided to put a stop to this without offending anyone and put up some hand painted posters (on recycled paper) at strategic places to make people aware of the wastage. We are hoping that things will improve faster.

  5. Without a doubt my job is EXTREMELY friendly in reguard to the use of paper.

I'm a small farmer, on a permaculture farm.  We use almost not paper.  I do keep records on my livestock herds, but that information is retained forever.

What fills up our paper shreader over and over again are completely unsolicited credit card offers, and auto insurance offers.  That Giko lizard isn't very green!
