Do you think youth and children have too many options?

When I was young years ago We had to do things whether we liked it or not! We had jobs to do around the house church was mandatory not optional, My parents had no patience for whimpering or whining. We even had to watch the younger kids so my parents went out and that was not an option.

My question is do you think that children and youth get to play by a new set of rules in this generation? Do you think children and youth are given a lot more choices and options and that many parents are lenient?

In my observations being an aide for children in day cares it seems that many children do not have respect for authority and do what they want anyhow? What is your take on this?

we did have to put up with more no's. if we wanted something we would have to wait and thats only if we had enough nerve to ask for it. now im noticing parents going broke to pay for a new bike when they just got one 5 months ago they dont have to do anything for allowance and they still get it we had to clean the house because we lived there. it makes no since at all so yes i do agree with you 100%
