its hard to answer this question.  no one knows your grades or what your parents are like, so this would be something for you to decide yourself.  btw (just for the record) i cant think of a time when not doing my homework did anything good for me.  and what does this have to do with magazines anyways???!

do your homework.  Its better to do it than to be lazy and get a bad grade!! Doing your homework only makes things easier for you in the long run
