  1. Yes, they couldn't deal with his BS for the rest of the season. His own teammates asked for his trade. The Red Sox had absolutely no choice, but to get rid of a guy who has been a nuisance for a long time. Even though Jason Bay is not Manny, he is much better defensively and is a pretty good contact guy.
