A car company had a recall and my boss had to leave his car in the shop, and they sent him with a porter to take him and a woman with the same problem to their jobs. Should he have tipped the porter? If so how much?

  1. No way.

  2. Yes, I would have given him at least $5.00.  It wasn't his fault about the car.

  3. Yes, it's just a simple courtesy and that's how the porter makes his living. It's like not leaving a tip for a waitress because the food was bad. (It's not her fault the food was bad) The porter was in no way responsible for the car company's problem. I would have tipped him and attempted to recoup it from the car company. If I couldn't recoup it from the car company, too bad. There are some things you do in life because it is the right thing to do. Period.
