  1. they already charge u for delievering

  2. all you do is give them the money you owe

if they dilever, that means you hav to give couple bucks extra to the delivery boy because hes doing extra work

    Choose this as best answer

  3. The delivery charge IS a mandatory tip, cuz it IS mandatory, that's how I c it, when I get Chinese delivered there's ALWAYS a MANDATORY delivery charge, I treat it as the tip, and don't tip the delivery person...if they want a tip, then they should ask their boss 4 the delivery charge...

  4. I wouldn't give extra $$ unless it's free delivery, raining, snowing, or something like that.

  5. no you don't have to.

  6. They have already charged you for delivery, they do this now for gas money, you may or may not want to give a tip. Its not bad if you don't though cause they are already getting some, but if you are happy with the service and feel like they should get something a little extra go ahead and tip them. I don't always tip them if there is already a charge but sometimes if they bring it nice and fast I tip extra good so they keep up the good work, and don't do anything to my food the next time I order.

  7. The delivery charge is not a tip because in most cases the driver doesn't get any of it. I know its a rip off but trust me the delivery drivers hate the delivery charge more than anyone because it stops some people from tipping.

  8. So I says to Mabel, I says...

I don't know, I never order delivery.  I love driving so I always drive to pick up my food.  I would think that you'd tip them on top of a delivery charge, with the amount decided by how fast and courteous they are.  But I'm a big tipper.

  9. i tipped mine yesterday 15 cents they charghed me 1.50 just bringing my subs just around the corner....

  10. The delivery charge is what the place adds to the bill, I guess towards the salary of the delivery person.  But, the delivery person works for tips and he appreciates them and kind of expects them.  Yes, you do tip him anyway.

When in doubt, you can always ask the place when you call to phone in the order.  Ask them if the delivery charge is what the guy who delivers it will get as the tip from the place for delivering it or if it is an extra charge that the place is charging you for the convenience of the service.

  11. Yes, I tip the Delivery person.  I think that giving a tip is optional, but most people do give a tip for fast, friendly service.
