Do you tip the teacher?

I am taking my first lesson today and its a instructor from the the pro shop, should I tip him or not? and if so how much?

I give lessons and I do occasionally get a tip but most of the times no.  It definitely is not expected but a nice bonus when it happens.

A tip usually does not go with a lesson. However ,if you are a member of a club, make sure you purchase all your golfing needs from the pro. if you are a country club member, please act like one.

did you pay for the lesson? if so, then no. but if it's a free teaching lesson to you, then you can out of courtesy
