  1. In England it's not expected like it is in America. Some restaurants add the tip into the bill, and you choose whether you want to pay it or not. I would say that in general I do not leave a tip, unless they have done a great service or it's a more posh restaurant where it's more expected. It all depends how much the waiter/waitress actually helps you, some places they simply deliver the food and collect plates, whereas other places you order everything from the table, and they keep checking you are ok - therefore going out of their way more for you.

  2. Of course! What kind of question is that???!!!

  3. yes if they do a good job

  4. yes unless its really bad service

  5. I always tip them, and the amount depends on their service!

  6. always

  7. ofcourse that what tips are for.. ^___________^

  8. If the service is decent.  If I have to wait or repeatedly flag down the wait staff, they can expect between zero and one cent.

  9. i always tip 15% unless the service is bad. then i still tip, but not as much. if the service was terrible then i complain to the person who is in charge. This prevents unwanted things in your food but still gets the point across.

  10. ARE YOU AN IDIOT!!!! IF YOU DON'T TIP THEY WILL SPIT IN YOUR FOOD THE NEXT TIME YOU COME IN....

  11. of course I do.

  12. If I get good service, I tip pretty well.

  13. Yes, anywhere from 15 to 25%.

If something goes horribly wrong during my experience, I still tip, but I ask to speak to the manager and explain my complaint in a calm, rational manner.

I will also tip the full amount if they take an item off my tab.

  14. mostly always unless she/he is an *** and doesnt deserve one. I been a waitress so i know how tips go but that doesnt give them the right to be a *****. lol.

  15. If they deserve it.

It's supposed to be a motivator.

    Better service, better tip.

    =]

  16. YES! THAT"S WHAT THEY LIVE OFF!

  17. I always tip 15%. If the service was extraordinarily good, 20%. The only time I wouldn't tip is if the waiter was horrible, and rude, and its a place I don't go to often. I would also complain. I do understand theres a difference between making an honest mistake and just being plain rude. I'm not going to get all huffy if the waiter made a mistake and fixed it, but if they cop an attitude, thats a different story.

  18. i've waited tables plenty of times, and i know how bad it can be. so i always try to tip the best i can in a reasonable bracket.
