Do you tip with your heart or tip with your head?

Yes I admit I have tipped against Hawthorth,

if tip means follow i would have to say heart.

If tip means think then my head.

I try to tip with my head... but it's so hard to tip against my own team. Luckily we're not too bad these days (Saints).

Although, look at is this way, if you tip against them and they win, there's a positive in that they won, but if they lose, it's still a positive cos you got an extra one right in the footy tipping.

I tip with who's the better team playing in the season! so I guess thats my head.. Although my team sucked the last few years.. I have tipped them to win and I knew they would lose! Lets hope they play better this year :| (if they only got rid of butterfingers richo ;o) )

haha i just guess them all. i tipped against wC 1st round last yr cos i thought they would suck...but somehow they won

When there's money or prizes involved in the tipping comp, I'd say 100% tip with my head!

but if it's just for fun than I see no problem with tipping with the heart!  GO Saints!!!! :D

Every club will spend some time on the bottom of the ladder at one stage (especially with the eveness of the comp these days) so as someone else said you'd be mad to tip with your heart all the time!

I also admit that I've tipped against HawthorN as well! :p

Sometimes, if my team (Essendon) aren't going to well, I might use my head and tip against them, although I usually won't tip against them.

I pick dependin on whos playin if it was a team that was on/near the bottom vs some 1 who finished a little high i use my head but if it is say crows vs power or saints vs power i go with the heart

I don't always pick Geelong. If I don't think they will win, I pick against them. Heart is a loser, think it over and you are a winner, usually. Unless Carlton was playing last season.

Last season for the first 7 rounds i tipped with my head and didnt let emotion enter into the equation it was "eyes on the goal" and i won 7 rounds straight  but from round 8 i started to tip with my heart and i was getting four or 5 right. My suggeston is to be clinical and avoid using the heart where at all possible because it does have a big effect on judgement :)

Definately with my head. If you support a team like Richmond and want to do well in tipping comps, you would be mad to tip them week in, week out. I have tipped them for tonight though, and probably tip them more often than I should.

Last year with my heart didn't do well so I am going to tip with my head this year.

With my head - for example I have tipped St Kilda to beat Sydney. I feel I can't lose - at least if Sydney don't win I have tipped a winner.
