  1. I think it really depends where you live and the dynamics of the local police department. Big cities tend to have less personal departments and many times worse service. Small towns tend to have more personal police officers and you get better service.  In my case, yes, I feel very protected by the police probably because I live in a small city.

Not sure why political affiliation is relevant unless you are trying to establish that republicans feel more protected by the police than democrats (?). I'm not affiliated with any party.

  2. Yes I do.  I live in a small town and our police department is top notch.  I don't really have a political affiliation, I vote for the person, not the party.

  3. Yes I do very much. They can't be there all the time, or there as quick as you'd wish, but thats kinda there job... So like, yeah.

  4. no. i don't trust them. cops are not your friend. their job is to put as many people in jail as they can. no they won't protect you. if it is not a drug or drunk driving charge they don't want anything to do with it. it comes down to how much the feds give for each offense. those are the highest so that is all they want to pay attention to. also if it was a gang related offense they won't even show up. why would they want to enter a gun incident. they are d**n near worthless these days... i am a republican.

  5. met good ones and bad ones. well documented. you should never simply trust. you think and learn to interact appropriately.

  6. Yes I will be a police officer when I get older

I dont know why you wouldnt trust them

    I do and always will

    I mean some you cant

  7. Yes, and don't have a political affiliation, but I vote for the conservative politicians.

  8. Yep........

They are better trained than my neighborhood watch group

    THAT makes no diff...............

  9. Only a little, my apartment was robed the semester I graduated & they didn’t do much. They didn’t even collect any evidence (fingerprint for instance). I’m a swing voter.

  10. No, that's why I have guns. Police CANNOT prevent crime, do to the laws in western society all the police can do is TRY and catch the criminal, AFTER he has committed a crime. The legal system is then set up to do everything possible to let the criminal go. This is based on the idea that it is better to let 100 criminals go free then to convict 1 innocent man. I have decided I will depend on myself to protect me. If the police can manage it great, but I don't expect it of them.

My political affiliation - I despise politicians in general, i have yet to meet one who can convince me i should give him power over small animals, let alone millions of people. I have absolutely no respect whatsoever for political parties, and feel political parties themselves should be outlawed

  11. Not in my town.

My town is such a small place that everyone acts like it's high school all over again. Certain officers [i won't mention names] do not like me or my brother because in High School him and my dad were arch enemies. I think the police officers of my town need to grow up and do their job. They arrest the kids of guys they hated in high school for doing nothing. [Really they said I was loitering and I was at a bus stop.]

    Political Affiliation: Republican [mostly]
