I mean, I know no one really trusts EVERYTHING their team's manager does, but more often than not, do you trust him to make the right decisions involving your team?

As a Red Sox fan, I can definitely say that I trust Terry Francona to make good decisions. I think he's earned the trust of Red Sox fans.

  1. Yea Francona has done a great job.

He got rid of Manny, and kept some crutial guys.

Pinella has also done a great job bringing the cubs up.

  2. well sometimes he makes crazy decisions, sometimes the lineup looks like he picked names out of a hat and at times i have no idea what he's doing.. but he must be doing something right because the angels are pretty darn good at the moment and have been consistent while he was managing :)

  3. I like the Cardinals and I definitely trust Tony  LaRussa

  4. I Loved To Trust My Skipper Cecil Cooper, but sometimes its very hard not to question his bad decisions.

  5. I think I trust Bruce Bochy of my hometown team the Giants. I heard the other day from the announcers that he was trying to not only develop the lineup, but the pitching as well. Brian Wilson and Tim Lincecum made the all-star team in 1 year of playing. That's pretty good development  for a year. They're the reason in my opinion that the pitching helps get the Giants only wins. The offense is what gets them losing all the time. Matt Cain and Jonathan Sanchez are also developing well and Sanchez was a reliever last year. I'll have to wait till next year to see if the pitching staff improves a lot more with the help of Bochy.

  6. nope

  7. joe girardi i trust because he makes good desicions like getting pudge and nady.

  8. Ron Gardenhire, of course. He knows when its appropriate to call out an ump, and he hardly ever lets his team down by making bad calls to the bullpen, and seems to always have his team ready to play. And as a orginization we develope young talent into promising hard working ball players, and all coaches on the twins deserve credit for that all the way down to AAA - A ball. so yes i trust our manager.

  9. Well do you want the Truth or lie

well your getting the truth yes and No yes because you he has been able to handle the club with all the Injuries pretty well, but again can i trust the Girardi to win get in the playoffs no, i don't I'm being honest i know i will get Thumbs down for saying that but i said my truth

  10. Jerry Manual appears to havea good head for baseball, but he needs to straighten out the bullpen.

,,,and, how can anyone not trust Francona, he's real class!!!

  11. Franconia brought 2 world series titles here after 86 vacant years. Plus he had to handle all the antics and distractions of Manny Ramirez and deal with the trading of a fan favorite in Nomar in '04. So yea, he should be trusted.

Every manager has a different perspective of the game, some play match-ups while others play whoever is hot right now (i.e. the Lowrie and Cora situation right now).

The problem is the media scrutinizing every move that doesn't pan out for the managers and analyzing everything in hindsight. As long as a manager has confidence and reasons behind his decisions, I will trust them.

  12. Greta, my team has Joe Torre. How can you not trust "Glory Torre"?

  13. How's it going Greta?,

    Of course I can.

Joe Torre is one of the best in the game.

  14. Mmmm Mad Dog hasn't really done anything. Grabbing Percival was a good deal but not much else happened. He had an easy track with so many 1st round draft picks. So if he continues not doing anything, I guess I trust him

  15. I'm with you. I'm a Red Sox fan and I think Terry Francona is one of the best managers in baseball.

  16. As a Red Sox fan, I can definitely say that I trust Terry Francona to make good decisions. I think he's earned the trust of Red Sox fans.

  17. Yes, Mike Sciosia is one of the best managers in the game. every game isnt easy against his team.

I think he is doing a great job with evening out the playing time of the angels. they have a stacked outfield and he is handling everything just perfectly.

  18. He turned a team us into a 500 team in the WC race so its okay. Plus...he has a great approach to winning. I trust him to make great decisions.

  19. As a Cub fan I definately trust Lou Pinella.   In the past Cub managers have done little or nothing to shake things up waiting for their sluggers to hit home runs.   Lou isn't afraid to hit and run and manufacture runs.

I also like how he handles the starting pitching.  If a starter doesn't have it that particular day he will pull them even if it's only 4 or 5 innings.   Of course this does tax the bullpen but he doesnt allow the game to get out of hand and therefore the Cubs can stay in most ballgames and the offense has a chance to come back.

  20. I generally trust Trembley with the O's.  He's doing the best with what he's got.

As for Ron Washington, I was apprehensive after going 9-18 (who wouldn't be???), but he's turned us around and we now have an outside shot at the WC, so yeah, I trust him.

  21. I did for the most part until I read a quote of his.  The Royals media was talking to Hillman in early July about the way he was going to set up the batting order for the next game and they mentioned to him that the Royals are 8-1 and score almost 8 runs a game when Teahen leads off and DeJesus bats third.  Hillman said that he didn't realize that and that he was going to have Ross Gload (the same Ross Gload that spent some time in AAA this year and was hitting around .245 and has no power in his bat) hitting 3rd.  I read that and thought that Hillman had to be joking around until, sure enough, he had Gload batting 3rd the next game.  I do blindly trust every pitching move that he he makes, though.  He knows what he's doing there.

  22. yes Lou is great

    he always protects his players

but sometimes he has "Senior Moments"

  23. Yes. Jerry Manuel has made some improvements. I feel that on the whole he has good judgement and will usually do the right thing.

  24. I trust that Francona will make good choices.

I trust that he will be a stand-up guy about it they go wrong.

I trust that he will defend his players in the media if need be.

I trust that he will deliver another championship or two to us.
