Do you trust yourself?

If you trust God, then you have to feel powerless and consider God the omnipotent. If you believe in God, how can you trust yourself and how can you believe in your own abilities, when you think nothing is in your hands?

  1. Irrespective if anyone believes in god or not, everything is in your own hands. It is called personal responsibility and those who use god as the excuse for their behaviour totally miss that point!

  2. i'v made enough mistakes and bad choices in my life so,NO i don't trust myself.

  3. I don't trust god, as he does not exist, and his supposed track record in books like the bible is one of broken promises and dirty tricks!

I'm not sure if I trust myself. I've done some silly things in the past!

  4. God gave me a set of abilities and sent me out into the world to use them. He's not watching over me lest I stumble, as if I were a toddler in a harness. He's given me the ability to put one foot before the other, and if I stumble, it's me not using my ability properly.

  5. Of course I do

  6. Because God wants us to believe in ourselves.

  7. wwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaattt??

  8. Omg that really made me think.

    That is a good one.

I do Beiive In god but i don't think nothing is in my hands.

So i guess i do trust myself ..?

    Good One.

    =]

  9. I don't see anything that can have my attention around me so can trust God and myself, because I have the idea what I want,I guess the strong

willing it is something that I have in  my hands and I have the abilities, because I am not along, the fact that makes me strong

  10. Hi!

    I really liked you man!

You are the first person to know reality in God unseen.

I started believing in visible things. That is nature.

Why we talk about unseen God thing, if there is no such thing.

Whatever happens, the people attribute everything to God.

Then let them sit, do nothing, let him take care of everything.

You are right man. It is just an illusion and waste of time and knowledge.

Be practical. Talking about God and unwanted philosophy will never

feed your belly when you are hungry. Nothing of the sort will come to your rescue when you are in distress. You have to think and resolve all your problems. We take unwanted birth on this earth without our asking - We die without our knowledge or consent. This is philosophy.

Let us try to enjoy this short stay of ours on this earth till we breathe and leave this planet for the better when our heart stops. Be busy like a bee & till your heart is busy. For me Nature is God/Goddess whatever you call it. I believe in whatever I see and feel. Love your body. Believe in your self. That is the truth. Everything else is Myth.

  11. i dont believe in god, i trust myself to a degree, i do make mistakes, life if what i and others make it for me.

  12. Sometimes i question that..now i wonder

    good question.

  13. its called free will.im in total responsibility in how i feel and i have the strength in me to feel any type of way/person i want to be at any second.but in the end i know who i truley am and i know how powerful as a human i can be physically and mentally.god didnt make us so we can depend on him.we endure hard times and adversities to know every asset of life, making us stronger.

  14. God gave us the self will and what we do with it will be judged later.  I trust myself and I am not perfect. but not evil either.

  15. I believe that I am capable of doing things...but it is though God that I am able.

It was once put to me like this:

If you had to stand up to an 8' tall man by yourself, how would you defend yourself?

Now, if you imagine that the Lord Almighty is next to you, how would this scenario be different? How confident would you be that you are safe?

That's how I see it. I don't see myself as powerless because I know that I am capable of doing things. God helps me, of course, and if I can do anything it's because He allows it.

A lot of things are in our hands though.

For example, sinning. If we sin, God is not by our side saying, "Right on!"

He watches us and is dissapointed, but we chose to commit the sin. We can decide to do good or bad. When we obey Him and seek Him, we become stronger in our faith, therefore stronger in all other senses.

  16. You are bringing to question the issue of Fatalism. This is not fate as in death so much as in destiny. In the 1001 Arabian Nights, Scheherazade presents an epitome of the belief, and her stories whisk heroes into danger and out by forces far greater than them.

But an omniscient god does not make our fate predetermined. If we were to assume a teleology, that the universe serves a function, since we do not know this function we don't know that it requires its components (i.e. us) to be destined. That said, our fates may, indeed, be our own.

And also, consider that we are part of the universe, not merely an interloping microbe, Our function, including our perception of choice, is part of the intricacy of the universe. In this case, while merely agents of God, we potentially are critical to the solution.

This later scenario, regardless of the former, may well prove to be the case. In our post Newtonian world, we've seen more and more that observable phenomena are describable and predictable with mathematical models, that's God's concurrent intervention is immeasurable or unlikely. And as the most self-aware species on this world, it puts us in His place as the shepherds of the Earth.

Hence, the biblical notion that He "made us in His image" may have more to do with our cerebral capacity than our physical form.

  17. That is partially why I don't believe in any type of deity. There is only one I can trust that is me.

To me (personal opinion) religion stems from weakness

  18. Hello Sarah:  I have a secret for you.  All of us are ONE with God.  This means that God is not a separate person or being from US.

So there is NOT a God out "there" somwhere else, but right HERE inside of me and inside of you.  Collectively, all souls are ONE with the Creator.  This means, it is impossible to be separated from God.

If I trust God I trust in myself because God is IN me (and you and everyone else as well).  The key to understanding the truth about The ONE, is to see every other person as YOURSELF.  It takes work and practice to do that.  It takes a lot of thinking to resolve the issues that you have been taught by the religionist separationists...

In a universe where a God would be separate, it would be possible to feel helpless and powerless.

In a universe where God is ONE with all of us, it is not only possible, it IS reality, to feel EMPOWERED and to be EMPOWERED!

God is omnipotent and omnipresent...God is IN everything, including those things you think are "not alive."  Everything you see, all around you, everywhere, is a part of God.  Understand that God is and never has been, separate from any of us...

It just feels that way because YOU do NOT remember WHO and WHAT YOU ARE!  It was done that way on purpose.  The purpose was and is, to play a part in discovering yourself and in discovering who and what you really and truely are...you could not do this unless you assumed a role, like an actress.  You decided how things would go in general in your life before you were born.  This is called a Life Plan.  You (the soul) made an agreement with God in a sacred trust, to live this life.  Yes, that is right, there is a sacred agreement between God and every living being in existence.

God is IN you and so God experiences your life through you.  You think you are separate, but you are not.  And once you start to become AWARE of the truth, when you start to see a glimmer into this truth, that is the point at which you start your long but inevitable return to God.  This process is called, the process of Be-Coming.  This is an unfoldment of your conscious awareness of just who and what you really and truely are - an inseparable being, a soul, and an extension of God-Self.

Perhaps, your question is your initiation into this truth.  Perhaps, my response was given to you because it is your time to start finding out.

Just remember this:  NO THING (nothing) ever happens without a purpose or reason.  There is no such thing as luck, fate, serendipity or predestination.  That includes this communication from God through me to you.  Consider the fact, that God works through all of us.  And anyone can be a channel who is open and willing to serve.  Anyone.

So I am saying to you, your question has now been answered through me as a vehicle, by God.

It is time for you to wake up from the dream.  It is time to start dropping the role and to start becoming self aware.  You are just at the very beginning of your long journey into eternity.  So look everywhere for God!  Look in yourself first.  Look in others.  See the miracle of the ordinary as the extroardinary...what appears to be something is not what it really is...it is something much more fantastic...but you have to open your mind to it and your heart and your soul.

When you do this, all your questions will be answered.  Just remember this:  God communicates in ALL WAYS (always), using the most appropriate form of communication that perfectly fits the situation at hand.  Be open to more communication, be looking on purpose!  Because what you see or hear or feel, may in fact, be coming from the ONE Source.

  19. according to Christianity, we all make our own choices, Right or wrong we live with mans consiquences, but , our belief in Jesus , gets us forgiveness from God, We do have our lives, but we try to lead them by Gods morals and rules,We arent so concerned about here as we are with our relationship with Jesus and our heavenly after life.

Im not saying Christians are perfect , We are just forgiven. Its our job, to not cause others to sin, and to set a good example and help others to find redemption thru Christ Jesus.
