  2. They are useful when discussing with others (particularly on Religious and philosophical issues) though internally they are simply words and cannot convey the depth of a human being.

    They are simply insufficient.

  3. i think people hide behind titles and use them to help define themselves

  4. I'm NOT an Internet addict!

    Someone please help me.

  5. Question mark.

  6. I usually try to avoid them as much as possible.

  7. Humans in general, Love titles.  it makes them feel a part of a group.

People are "pack" animals, not unlike dogs.  That's ok.

Some of us have had to work very hard to earn the titles we, as your Tyler Durden says "own."

I am not ashamed of them.  Even though some may not make sense to some others outside my circles.

I read someone say something about using titles to hide behind... and I also think people try to "shed their titles" for the SAME reasons.

you are who you are.  You choose your labels either by taking them on yourself or working to earn them.

    Wear them well!

  8. Yes, they are basically pointless.

We are just us - unless "us" or "i" is a title too!

  9. Yes. labels can OFTEN be very misleading.

I'll take this one: Spirit-born Christian; sinner saved by grace. saint under construction.

most of the rest: I'll just pass, thank you.

    :^)

  10. I am jacks misguided duvet'

  11. I don't understand your question.

  12. I have always hated the title of Priest or High Priest. We decided, in our temple, to use the old Egyptian descriptor Hem Netr or Servant of the Gods. Mainly, because I believe that the descriptor should be a verb not a nomenclature.

  13.    I use the term Christian or Evangelical in R&S when referring to myself but frankly, I prefer disciple, servant, or soldier of Jesus Christ. So in that sense yes, I try to shed certain titles.
