Do you try to teach your kids school type things?

If so what do you teach them? I teach mine letters, numbers, states, presidents, planets, and any kind of fun facts I can think of. Some of the first things I taught them was to spell their name and say their address and phone number. I have 4 yo and a 2 yo boys (and a 9 month old girl but she is not learning these things yet). They each pick up on different things and show interest in different areas. At first I wondered if they where too young for some of it but now my 4 year old knows so much it amazes me so I want to continue to teach them. Obviously school is helpful but the class has to learn as a whole so they can only learn in a broad sense. I was wondering what other mom's teach their kids so maybe something that would be good for them to know I am not thinking of. Thanks for your answers!

I always try to take every opportunity to teach something. I think you are doing a wonderful thing by teaching them and noticing their strengths. Keep playing up to the strengths and your kids will go far.

That a great thing because they have to know all that stuff in kindergarten.  Some times they need to know the last 4 numbers of there social security number for lunch if not that it will be another4 numbers.   Keep up the good work the more they know the better they will do.
