Bibs are probably the most useful and underused garment for keeping shirts and dresses clean when eating or drinking. So why do so few people use them?

  1. saves on washing - and changing after every little spill, are bibs not cool?

  2. i dont because my youngest is 13. (sorry couldn't resist). i use them on my grandchildren when they are with me. they really do save their clothes. my daughter always asks me how her daughter stays so clean. she  is of the impression bibs are just for babies.

  3. Yes I did it is advisable if the child is very young as some children are very messy eaters and need a clothe at hand it helps alot.

  4. I didn't. I used terry nappies. Bibs are way too small. A toddler with spag bol or fruit looks like someone doing a Bath In Beans for comic relief.

  5. if there's gonner be sauce then I'd use them!

  6. I use a bib for my daughter, she tends to be a lil messy and some point! a bib is very useful for lil children!

  7. I think our Daughter's mastered the art of eating by now lol....she's 16!! But seriously,as a child we had to use every method like that to stop mess-she has dyspraxia which makes eating an 'eventful' time due to poor co-ordination,had to bib her,put something down on floor, make sure she was sat centralised in the room-so we didn't end up with food literally everywhere!!! Even now she occasionally misses her mouth (very surprising given the size of it sometimes!!)-they should do adult sized ones!

  8. i have tripletts and when they were little i tried to use bibs but they refused to keep them on it wasnt for the want of trying it just turned into a battle at every meal time so i just gave up in the end it was easier to just change their top and wash it.

  9. They told me that it would ruin they STREET CRED, and as they are all at least a foot taller then me now, I did not like to push the point!

  10. I do, but my daughter is only 14 months, so I need to. There were a few occasions when she was under 1 that I did not use them, and ended up staining a lot of her tops.

  11. i did under 1 yrs

  12. TIM is now old enough to eat without his,

but we do all use a napkin.

and yes it does save ruining to many shirts.

  13. yup i do, wouldnt do without them.. i go through loads and it keps my daughter clean

  14. My grandad still does.

  15. i personnally prefer the aprons with arms the cover everything and wipe clean if dont have 1 to hand arm and head holes in a black sack work a treat

  16. I always used a bib while feeding my son.

I remember once I forgot to put it on while I was giving him a boiled egg .... and he threw it on the floor ,... and cried clutching at his T-shirt.  Then I put it on .... he ate it.  Woops I boiled another one, didn't give him the one off the floor.

Now he is 32 this June. ............. Darn ..... a party ... does he need another one lol.

  17. Definitely a good idea for the under 2's but after that my youngest kept taking them off. You can get them with sleeves on too which are very useful when feeding them spaghetti bolognaise
