  1. It's all a matter of personal preference, I like a mouse if I'm working at a desk (even a real keyboard). But if I'm on a plane where space is tight I will stick with the touchpad.

  2. I think that if you have a laptop, that you should get use to the built in Tracker Ball Mouse, but if you feel better with using a portable mouse, then go for one.

Some software packages are more difficult to navigate, as the tracker ball is very sensitive.

    Hope this helps.

  3. I use a cordless mouse when at a desk/table ,but use touch-pad when sitting on sofa

  4. I use a USB mouse, I find it easier, and also the touchpad on my laptop heats up after a while so it's uncomfortable to use.

  5. I prefer the touch pad, but it is all down to the person everyone is different.

  6. Its better with a usb mouse.

I got a laptop and i use a logitech usb mouse and its great

At school, i use a laptop and i have to use the built in mouse so yes buy a usb mouse, logitech is better quality mouse because recently i use trust, trust isn't worth buying, low quality and it always cuts off.

  7. I don't use a mouse with mine, the touch pad takes a little getting used to, just try to persevere

  8. it really depends on you, i like using the touchpad but i have a mouse that i sometimes use. personally i think its easier to use the touchpad when your laying down on the couch on on your bed watching a movie or just surfing the web but when im doing work at a table like typing up a paper for school i find using the mouse easier.

  9. Hi,

It all depends on where and when you want to use your laptop. If you want it at home most of the time - fine get used to the on board mouse but if like me I use an optical mouse ie cordless. This means that I have the best of both worlds. Travelling on the train with a table great to have the mouse if just in a seat use the on board mouse. I think if you get an optical mouse ( £10 about ) you have the best of both options.

  10. get an external mouse

  11. try using Excel on a laptop without a mouse - its a nightmare - so yes i do
