On a 1995 Johnson 130 horsepower outboard boat engine, do you use high octane gas(92 octane)? or low octane gas (87 octane) thanks

  1. they have made outboards for a long long time to run on low octance unleaded gas......true "marine gas" has had no lead in for some time. Don't watse your money on high octance pump gas.


  2. You can use either 92octane or 87octane I only use 87 octane as it is cheaper with my heavy usage.

  3. The car will sound and preforms much better with 92 octane.

  4. low octane will be fine

  5. I run high octane in all my boats, with a product called SeaFoam.
