Do you use your online banking statement or balance with a check register?

I prefer online banking so I can reconcile my account daily plus I can do bill pay which saves me stamps and checks.

The problem with using a bank statement is that you are relying on your bank to keep track of your money.  You are to track your own transactions and compare them to the bank statement to make sure it is correct.  Banks do make mistakes.  

I use both.
